Uma vez mais está a decorrer em Peniche o Rip Curl Pró Portugal 2011. Depois do enorme êxito obtido o ano passado, a Rip Curl elegeu novamente Peniche ( Capital da Onda ) como merecedora de durante (pelo menos) mais três anos, ser novamente a anfitriã desta prova do circuito mundial de surf.
A presença dos melhores surfistas mundiais em Peniche, entre os quais Kelly Slater (americano), Mick Fanning ( Austrália ), Owen Wright ( Australiano ), Jordy Smith ( Sul Africano ), Adriano de Souza ( Brasileiro ) e o nosso campeão Tiago (Saca) Pires e John John Florence ( Hawaiano com 18anos ).
Felizmente o mar tem-se mostrado generoso, com boas vagas, proporcionando imagens como só o surf consegue mostrar.
Pelo andamento da prova é possível que na próxima 4ªfeira se realizem as finais.
